Source Church Pittsburgh was honored to able to join other local groups in marching in the 2016 Historic Steel Valley Christmas Parade. The annual parade was held on December 3, 2016. The parade route proceeded down 8th Avenue through the communities of West Homestead, Homestead and Munhall. This year’s parade featured more floats than it ever had before.
In addition to the best float and decorated storefront contests, the 2016 Steel Valley High School Football Team, the coaching staff, band and cheerleaders who assisted the team in taking the WPIAL Class 2A Championship were recognized for their successful season. The Steel Valley Family Center won first prize for their misfit Christmas toy float while the Local Motion Spinning and Yoga gym won second place. The Daisy Troop 16369 finished out the best float contest in third place for their Christmas Gingerbread House. Penn Automotive won first place for best decorated storefront with their interactive and animated display with snowman village cityscape. The Steel Valley Family Center won the second place prize for the best decorated storefront.
